FAQ
The questions owners actually ask.
Mostly some version of “is this going to embarrass me in front of a customer.” Fair question.
No, and this is the part you should be hardest on. It talks at a normal pace, it doesn't read a menu at anyone, and if the caller cuts in halfway through a sentence it stops and listens the way a person does.
You don't have to take our word for it. The demo is set up as your business and you spend half an hour trying to trip it up.
It says it doesn't know instead of making something up. That's the single most important rule in the script.
Then it does one of three things depending on how you've set it: warms the call over to you or whoever's on call, takes a message and texts it to you with the caller's number, or books a callback slot on your calendar. You choose which one happens, and you can set it differently for business hours and after hours.
Google Calendar, Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan and Square Appointments are the ones we set up most often. It reads real availability and writes the job back, so what it books is what you see.
If you run something else, tell us on the demo call and we'll say honestly whether we can connect to it or whether it'd have to work another way.
It asks the questions that decide whether something is an emergency, then acts on the answer.
A genuine hazard — gas, water near a panel, a burning smell — escalates to a human phone immediately, with the address and what's wrong already captured. Anything that can safely wait gets booked into your first opening and the caller gets told what to do in the meantime. You set which situations count as emergencies for your trade before it goes live.
No. You keep your number and forward it to us.
You also decide when it forwards. Some owners send everything. Most start with after hours, weekends, and the calls that come in while their line is already busy, then widen it once they've listened to a few weeks of calls.
It depends on your call volume and how we set it up. Book a demo and you'll get a quote on the call.
About a week from the demo call in most cases.
The time goes into writing and testing the script, not into installation. There's nothing to install. Once you're happy with how it handles calls, you forward your line and it's answering.
Yes. That's exactly what the demo is.
It's set up as your business, with your company name and your services, and you get to call it and try to break it — live, on the call, before there's any commitment of any kind.
No, and that's deliberate. Setup is done with you on the demo call so it's trained on your business rather than reading a generic script.
A generic version would answer the phone and then fall over on the second question, which would tell you nothing useful about whether this works for you.
Next step
See it answer a call as your business.
Half an hour, live, set up with your company name and your services. Try to break it. No contract, no card, nothing to install.
