How it works
Live in about a week.
There's nothing to install and you keep your number. Most of the week goes into writing the script and testing it until it holds up.
Setup
What the week actually looks like.

Discovery call
Day one, half an hour
We ask how many calls you take, what you already ask people, what your hours are, and which jobs you actually want. We also ask what you'd rather it never say. That last one matters more than people expect.
- 0:11
We script it and train it on your business
Days two to five
A person writes it — your services, how you want emergencies graded, what it should say when a caller asks what a job costs, what happens when someone asks something it doesn't know. Then we call it, repeatedly, from awkward angles, and fix what breaks.
- 0:26
You call it yourself and change what you want
Around day five
We get back on a call and you put it through its paces before a single customer reaches it. If it says something you wouldn't say, we change the wording there and then. This is normally where the last twenty percent of the quality comes from.
- 0:34
You forward your line
Day seven, give or take
Keep your number. Forward everything, or just after hours, weekends and the calls that land while your line is busy. You can change that any time, and you can turn it off in a minute if you want to.
On the call
What it actually does while someone is talking.
Same call as the home page, marked up. Three moments do the real work: the question that grades the job, the calendar lookup that lets it commit to a time, and the branch that keeps a human reachable.

Thanks for calling Ridgeline Plumbing. This is the after-hours line. What's going on?
- 0:06Caller
There's water coming through my basement ceiling. I think a pipe burst.
- 0:11MyPickUpAI
Okay. First thing — do you know where your main shutoff is? Usually near the water meter.
- 0:16Caller
Yeah, I think so. Hang on.
- 0:24Caller
Got it. It's off.
- 0:27MyPickUpAI
Good. That stops it getting worse. Is anyone standing in water near outlets or the electrical panel?
- 0:32Caller
No, it's away from all that.
- 0:35MyPickUpAI
Then you're safe to wait for morning. Can I get the address?
- 0:39Caller
4412 Oakview Drive.
- 0:43MyPickUpAI
4412 Oakview Drive. And is this the best number to text the confirmation to?
- 0:48Caller
Yeah, this one's fine.
- 0:51MyPickUpAI
Your earliest opening is 7:00 AM tomorrow, first call of the day. Want me to hold it?
- 0:56Caller
Yes. Please.
- 0:59MyPickUpAI
Booked. You'll get a text in a minute with the time and the tech's name. If the water starts up again before then, call back and I'll page the on-call tech.
- 1:08Caller
Thank you. Seriously.
When it doesn't know
What happens when it can't answer something
It says it doesn't know rather than guessing. That rule sits above everything else in the script. What happens next is your choice, and you can set it differently for business hours and after hours.
Warm transfer
It stays on the line, calls you or whoever is on call, tells them who's holding and what it's about, then connects them. If nobody picks up it goes to the next option instead of dumping the caller.
Takes a message
Name, number, address, and what they actually said — not a summary that loses the detail. Texted to you within a minute of the call ending.
Books a callback
It offers the caller a window when you're free, puts it on your calendar, and texts them the confirmation. They stop wondering whether anyone got the message.
More questions — whether it sounds like a robot, what happens at 2am, whether you have to change your number — are answered on the FAQ.
Next step
See it answer a call as your business.
Half an hour, live, set up with your company name and your services. Try to break it. No contract, no card, nothing to install.
